A picture of the finished track from as high as we could get on a front end loader.

Dimensions and layout of the track

A close-up of the beam mounting system.  There are 103 concrete columns supporting the track.  Each column is at least 3 feet into the ground.

This is the first generation cart system powered by a VERY old Tecumseh gasoline engine and hydrostatic drive.

The second generation cart system with a 13hp gasoline engine, electronic speed control, and large fuel tank for extended test duration.  The horses always seem to calm down after a few minutes of operation.

The instrument cart(s) has the flexibility to mount a variety of GPS and data logging equipment.  You are limited only by your supply of duct tape, bungee cords and zip ties.
