Autonomous Tractor
We are currently researching the feasibility of replacing one large piece
of equipment with several smaller autonomous machines that could be tended by
one
person. In a typical agricultural operation, if a machine breaks down,
field work has to stop while the machine is repaired. This system of multiple
machines would allow field work to continue should one of the units need repair.
Collaborators on this project are Dr.
Scott Shearer, and Jeremy Hudson,
graduate student.
