- Bioenvironmental Engineering -

Faculty research in this area is directed toward a broad range of environmental problems, including:

  • Surface water hydrology

  • Groundwater hydrology

  • Irrigation and drainage

  • Sediment transport

  • Chemical fate and transport

  • Waste management

  • Reclamation of disturbed lands

  • Site remediation
Collaborations between the departments of Forestry, Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, and Mining Engineering have been formed to develop systems for enhancing soil formation, meeting forest water needs, and reducing offsite impacts.
