ABET - Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology - Introduction ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) is responsible for accrediting all undergraduate Engineering, Engineering Technology, Related Engineering and Computer Science Programs in the United States. ABET is looking to see a solid engineering program that produces competent engineers prepared to excel in their field. ABET desires to see clear evidence that we are actively evaluating and improving the quality of our program with input from constituencies by completing the two loops of the EC Criteria that include continual assessment, evaluation and improvement of the published educational objectives and program outcomes. ABET examines the quality and performance of students, graduates, and faculty, seeking evidence that the program objectives and outcomes are satisfactorily met as well as making sure the facilities and funds are adequate to meet the needs and goals of the program. The BAE Department was last accredited in 2004 and will be evaluated again in 2010. This web site serves as a means to publish important ABET documents and to aid in the development of the 2010 Self-Study document. Details about the last ABET review cycle can be found here. | ||
