- Press Releases:
- Progress:
| Further
progress was made on improving the Portable Monitoring
Units (PMU) capabilities. A series of tests with sample
pumps located upstream, vs. downstream, of sensors has
been completed. Results suggest an evaluation of the PMU
design should be undertaken. |
| |
| Additional
broiler house ventilation systems were evaluated. |
| |
| Tests
on PMU at 3 stations conclude that positive-pressure PMU
preferable. |

- UK team finished
first complete broiler flock, site A. Obtained fan curves for
1 of 4 houses.
- PSU team
completed measurements for building ventilation characterization
methods.
- ISU team
continued to advise PSU and UK on proper configuration of gas
sampling box.
- Site inspection
visit, by USDA IFAFS consultant. Toured the UK team's faculties
and visited broiler site A.
- All teams
